vertical_fieldARCs are experiencing rapid development in the “old” Member States, currently being organised in other countries and non-existent in the majority of newer Member States.

The sector consists mostly of small and very small enterprises. It therefore forms part of the economic landscape of the European Union, where small enterprises, the backbone of the economy, enjoy a high profile as a potential source of employment and growth (5-7% per year)
